The External Account Manager position is pivotal in driving revenue and business growth within the Retail Sales silo. Achieving growth by nurturing and building the customer base, developing strong relationships with customers, and ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded. The mission of the External Account Manager will be to build and maintain long-term relationships, drive revenue growth, and contribute to the overall success of the Company. Achieve monthly sales targets Achieve Quarter-on-Quarter and Year-on-Year growth Establish and grow a new client base within the Retail clients. Maintain new and existing client relationships through regular visits and interaction Develop sales plans per account Manage the sales process Maintain current client database and forecasts Develop a sales plan per account Deliver product presentations and entertain clients Generate sales leads and do follow-ups on deals in your pipeline Identify sales opportunities and go-to-market strategies Compilation of all quotations Following up on quotes and converting them to orders Attend product training and events Processing and administration of relevant sales documentation Updating backorders and orders received on a daily basis A minimum of three (3) years of experience in Distribution Minimum of 3 years of account management experience with Commercial clients Previous sales experience within the ICT Distribution industry will be an advantage Proven track record of sales success (preferably within the ICT Distribution industry) Matric preferably with mathematics A tertiary qualification and /or relevant diploma in Sales, Marketing or IT will be an advantage Up to R70 000 TCTC depending on experience
