Our client is an established producer, packer, and exporter of citrus and table grapes with production units and pack houses in the Western Cape. They require the services of a strong analytical person with high levels of attention to detail and proven experience in a similar position to fill the Fruit Accountant vacancy. This office-based position will report to the Senior Fruit Accountant and is based at our head office in Bellville. Responsibilities: Setup and maintaining foreign and local consignment accounts. This will include, but will not be limited to: Accumulating relevant consignment sales and cost information Calculating final consignment results and instituting payment to suppliers of produce Recording consignment transactions in the books of record Financial performance reconciliations Requirements: Relevant tertiary qualification At least 5 years' experience in fruit accounting (pooling and/or grower accounts) Relevant knowledge of computer systems (accounting and exports) Ability to work independently, take quick and accurate decisions and be able to meet deadlines Good interpersonal and communication skills The following will count in your favour: Computer literate with advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Palbroker Finance Consignment accounting, cost chains and incoterms Experience in the fruit export industry By Submitting your information and application you hereby confirm: That you have read and understood our Privacy Policy ( www.hopcal.co.za ).
