We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial management and possess a keen eye for detail. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing various financial functions including bank reconciliations, fixed assets management, accounts payable and receivable, journal entries, and more. This role requires strong analytical skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and a commitment to accuracy. Perform bank reconciliations on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records. Manage fixed assets, including recording acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation. Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, ensuring timely invoicing, payment processing, and reconciliation. Prepare and post journal entries for month-end and year-end close. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting as needed. Conduct thorough analysis of financial data to identify discrepancies or irregularities. Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial information and support decision-making processes. Stay updated on relevant accounting regulations and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and standards. Mentor and train junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed. Monitor and analyze the cost of sales to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting. Implement strategies to optimize cost of sales and improve profitability. Oversee the accounts receivable process to ensure timely collection of outstanding debts. Oversee inventory management processes to optimize stock levels and minimize carrying costs. Conduct regular stock reconciliations and implement inventory valuation methods. Manage accounts payable processes to ensure timely payment of invoices and favorable payment terms. Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. Proven experience working in a bookkeeping or accounting role, with a focus on bank reconciliations, fixed assets management, and general ledger maintenance. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Pastel, etc) and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy. Budget: Between R30k to R40k per month CTC. Permanent Employment (Office Based) Afrikaans and English speaking individuals.
