The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing clients' financial records, solving client challenges, and driving process improvements. Business accountant Maintain accurate financial records, including recording all transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, and reconciling bank statements. Produce monthly management reports, such as balance sheets and income statements, providing in-depth analysis to clients for informed decision-making. Assist with budgeting and forecasting, and actively track actual performance against budgets. Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and legislation. Prepare annual financial statements and provisional tax calculations for clients. Communicate effectively with clients, providing financial information and resolving queries. Process Improvement and Systems Integration: Collaborate with clients to solve specific financial issues or problems. Innovate and automate accounting processes to increase efficiency and accuracy. Act as a resource investigator, proactively identifying opportunities for process optimization and technology integration. Collaborate with the systems software developer to implement new tools and technologies to enhance accounting systems and processes. The ideal candidate for this position will have a diploma or degree in accounting or bookkeeping, or equivalent experience and minimum of 3 years of accounting experience. Strong knowledge of South African accounting principles and regulations. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero (Xero experience is advantageous). Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team. Effective time management to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
