An Irish accounting firm, dedicated to making complicated processes as simple as possible, is looking for an Accountant to work remotely from South Africa. As an Accountant , you will be reporting to the Head of Accounting & Tax. You will also operate as part of the accounting team in providing practical solutions to clients in maintaining their accounting and tax regulatory requirements. Prepare and maintain monthly management accounts for a portfolio of clients. Prepare and maintain accounting records up to the draft of financial statements stage. Preparation and submission of tax returns including but not limited to VAT, payroll, corporation tax, income tax. Correspond and interact with clients to obtain information required to complete tasks and to make them aware of filing deadlines and other obligations. Correspond and interact with Revenue on behalf of clients to represent their interests in a professional manner. Monitor filing deadlines for a portfolio of clients. Liaise with other staff and departments dealing with other aspects of a client's regulatory requirements. Review accounting statements, expense reports, and standard forms for accuracy, completeness, and conformity to procedures. Provide advice on accounting requirements in response to client queries. Review, update, or revise file contents to reflect the current status of the client. Maintain checklists, logs, worksheets, or other records used to monitor the status of a project or business activity. Identifying new business opportunities and working with internal contacts to convert leads and opportunities into projects. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients. Assisting junior team members. Ad-hoc duties as required. SAIPA Articles Completed Bachelor of Accounting / BCom Accounting or related field 3-5 years of total experience Strong communication skills, an ability to think on their feet, excellent attention to detail and Exceptional organisational skills are essential for this multi-client role. Working knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Excel, Microsoft Word, Windows, etc.). R25 000 - R35 000 (depending on experience)
