Daily reconciliation of cashbook Management of staff General Administration Daily Checking of Cash-Ups for all Cashiers – WC Region & checking of drop deposits against bank statement Verification of customer refund payments VIP & PCC Account Annual Rebate Schedule Verification of bank account journals Balance sheet account reconciliation and income statement reconciliation Weekly KPI Input & reporting Monitor and analyze costs related to overhead, and operating expenses, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Continuously assess accounting processes and systems, recommending and implementing enhancements to streamline operations and enhance accuracy. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, operations, and management to provide financial insights and support business initiatives. Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory requirements relevant to the retail industry. Implement and maintain effective internal controls with the guidance of the Regional Financial Manager and HO to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial records. Regional petty cash reconciliation Management Account Consolidation Accounting for branches - monthly management accounts Reconcile Legal Receivable Accounts in conjunction with Debtors Supervisor Assisting external auditors, Internal auditors and HO with various audit requests during the year Ensuring accurate processing of all financial entries Ensure that all relevant documentation in the region comply to all VAT and Income Tax and other legal requirements. Assisting the Regional Financial Manager with annual budgets Validation and releasing of payment remittances for Sundry Creditors, Staff Expense Claims and Staff Deduction payments to third parties (garnishee order, maintenance, etc.) Various reasonable adhoc tasks as requested by the Regional Financial Manager National Senior Certificate (Matric) NDipl Financial Management or similar qualification. Minimum 4/5 years in a financial role High proficiency and knowledge in using excel daily. Exposure to ERP and Financial Systems i.e., SAP, Syspro, Kerridge etc. A proven track record
