Our client is looking for a Microsoft AD and Messaging Engineer to join their organisation Job Description: As an Active Directory & Messaging Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing the company's Active Directory environment. You'll manage our Mimecast, Exchange Server environments as well as Exchange Online and ensure that all mailboxes are properly configured. You'll also monitor all server alerts, notify support if a problem is detected and investigate further if required. In addition to your technical role within the organization, you will also act as part of a wider team which includes other technicians. Deliverables include, but will not be limited to You'll be part of the team responsible for administrating and managing the Microsoft 365 stack, including Intune, Azure, Teams. You need to learn quickly and be able to work independently and as part of a team. You have good English communication skills and can adapt language to the audience. Ensure Active Directory platform or infrastructure is managed effectively and compliant. Integrate with Exchange, Mimecast and Azure Active Directory infrastructures to provide a holistic view of messaging and identity across the organization. Ensure the success of all the Microsoft software products, operate and maintain systems, procedures, and policies to ensure successful operations of the organization. Perform daily monitoring, problem solving, and optimization of Exchange servers should it be required. As an Active Directory engineer, you'll take part in designing, installing, and managing Active Directory across on-premises, as well as Office 365. Participate in IT projects as required, providing technical expertise and support. You will be a key member of the Active Directory engineering team ensuring Windows Server and Exchange services are running properly and securely within the environment while also monitoring the environment. Monthly standby to be performed as part of the IT Infrastructure team. Willingness to be available and work after hours when necessary to minimize business downtime and resolve issues within maintenance window periods. Participates in various IT projects intended to continually improve/upgrade the system infrastructure, ensuring change management procedures and methodologies are implemented and followed. Minimum Qualification Required Grade 12 Senior Certificate Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator will be advantageous. Microsoft 365 Certifications. Azure Administrator will be advantageous. Minimum Experience 5-10 years of IT experience with Microsoft cloud technologies such as Azure Active Directory, Microsoft 365 (Intune, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Teams,), Microsoft Office M365 Office in an enterprise or corporate environment. 5-10 years of experience in supporting Windows Server operating systems in an enterprise or corporate environment. 5-10 years of experience in Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange on-prem. Understanding of device management technologies like MDM A working understanding of networks and services like DNS, DHCP, IIS and LDAP Market related
