Based in Uitenhage – Eastern Cape

SALARY LEVEL 9 (R37 003.00pm) plus 37% in lieu of benefits (R13 691.11pm) = R50 694.11 per month CTC

12 Months Fixed Term Contract

Our client in the Education sector require an experienced ICT Manager to coordinate, review and undertake the implementation of information communication technology systems and procedures in line with relevant legislation, regulations frameworks and college policies and procedures. Managing a team of ICT Technicians.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Recognized National Diploma, National Higher Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or related qualification.
  • 5 - 10 years hands on experience in ICT Policies, ISO Standards, ICT Systems, Servers, Cloud Servers, Applications, Hardware, Software, and Equipment, Human Resource Management, Financial Management, Project Management, Risk Management, and Disaster Management, and Vendor Management.
  • Valid code B driver’s licence.’
  • Management of a team of 8 or more staff.

KNOWLEDGE

  • Knowledge and understanding of ICT governance, policies, and principles within the environment of TVET Colleges advantageous.
  • Knowledge of ICT Systems, Servers, Cloud Servers, Applications, Hardware, Software, and Equipment Operational Availability to ensure business continuation.
  • Knowledge of ICT hardware and software w.r.t. Firewalls, Wi-Fi systems, radio links, firewall camera systems, security systems access control systems, and security systems.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the design, implementation, and maintenance of an organizational ICT systems and infrastructure.
  • Experience in leading, mentoring, and managing a team of ICT professionals, including network administrators, system administrators, helpdesk support, and other technical staff. Assign tasks, set performance goals, and conduct regular feedback reviews.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the monitoring of performance management system.
  • Experience in maintaining high availability, scalability, and security of ICT infrastructure systems.
  • Direct, acquire and deploy an efficient Ticket System for ICT System Management.
  • Experience in implementing backup and disaster recovery solutions to safeguard data and ensure business continuity.
  • Knowledge of the annual reporting requirements by the Higher Education Institutions.

  • Collaborate with senior management and other departments to understand technology requirements and provide strategic guidance.
  • Ensure ICT practices and processes comply with relevant regulations and standards.
