Reference: PE001107-MVDM-1 A Representative for Meat Producers is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager (Infrastructure & Trade) to oversee the research and development of operational plans to address the numerous infrastructural and economic issues faced by commercial farmers. Based in Port Elizabeth. Salary is market related. Permanent position. Candidate must be prepared to travel locally & nationally when required. Job requirements : A National Senior Certificate or higher. A formal relevant qualification or sufficient employment experience in any or some of the following fields will be an advantage. Law, engineering, project management, agriculture and/or the commercial aspects, relevant to small, medium and large-scale commercial farming enterprises Computer literacy with excellent administrative, communication and interpersonal skills will be a pre-requisite A good working knowledge of social media platforms as well as the creating and uploading of content Must have problem solving and analytical skills. An appropriate degree or diploma or a minimum of 3 years' experience in a managerial position is required A code B drivers' licence & own vehicle, which they are prepared to use for official duties, such use to be re-imbursed at an agreed rate. Duties : Research and development of operational plans to address the numerous infrastructural and economic issues faced by commercial farmers Lead and motivate support staff to develop a high-performance culture Oversee activities relating to the operations of the Infrastructure and Trade Committee of the organisation to ensure desired results consistent with the overall strategy of the organisation. Manage engagements and communication between our affiliated members and the activities of this functional committee to ensure adequate support to these members.
