Assistant Production Manager - - Port Elizabeth

REQUIREMENTS

Tertiary qualification (Degree or Diploma) in Production Management or Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering
Minimum 3 years of experience in production management ideally within a body builder operation
Sound knowledge of Lean Manufacturing system principles
Working knowledge of applicable labour and OCHSA regulations/ laws
Effective leadership, organizational and excellent communication, and time management skills

RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage and motivate the production teams to achieve performance targets
Managing the manufacturing/ fabrication processes
Ensuring that body applications are built following specifications, meeting regulatory and customer requirements
Achieving the production schedule, quality and cost targets
Implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
Ensuring compliance with SHE/ OHCSA
