Duties - Foreclosures & Vehicle Asset Finance (VAF):
Drafting Legal Documents: Drafting demand letters, notices, and other legal documents related to debt collection actions.
Negotiation: Negotiating with debtors to reach settlement agreements or payment plans that are mutually beneficial to the client and the debtor.
Litigation Management: Managing legal proceedings in cases where negotiation fails, including filing lawsuits, attending court hearings, and representing clients in court
Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of all communications, negotiations, and legal actions taken in debt collection cases.
Client Reporting: Providing regular updates and reports to clients on the progress of debt collection efforts, including the status of outstanding debts and any legal developments.
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- LLB
- Minimum 7 years post admission experience - Specializing in High Court Banking Litigation with specific focus on foreclosures and vehicle and asset finance matters
- Admitted Attorney
- Possess high court litigation experience
- Possess a valid drivers license and own transport
- Previous experience in managing his / her own department would be an advantage
- Previous experience in managing of junior personnel would be an advantage
- Ability to manage a portfolio independently
