Our client is an international integrated security solutions provider who requires a seasoned operations management professional to effectively manage branch resources and procedures to ensure that the contractual obligations to customers are achieved cost effectively and that the company's security procedures are applied throughout the branch. Success in this role hinges on strong people management and leadership, coupled with solid experience in the logistics / distribution sector. The role has P&L accountability. The right candidate can expect an all inclusive compensation package up to R1.2mil per annum, dependent on value proposition. Effective management of the branch financial performance Manage relationships between actual results, budgets and forecasts, delegating accountability where appropriate. Manage the effective and efficient usage of company assets, i.e. vehicles, assuring that all assets (including cash processing centre equipment) are well maintained, accounted for, and utilized correctly to optimize life of the asset. Maintain, manage and adhere to company procedures and policies for all cash floats, customer details and other financial controls. Managing all internal and external reconciliation procedures and policies. Effective management and deployment of employees within the branch Effective labour and organisation Training / Development Leadership Effective management of operations Client retention and customer service levels Operations management – adherence to operation standards: Shared best practice ROCC and compliance Effective Security and Risk Management for the branch Ensure that all relevant legislation are adhered to and that company procedures and standards (including health and safety, security, personnel, finance and transport) are maintained. Adhere to group and company standards on risk and security mitigation and control on the following areas: Effective management of business development function Business development Needs analysis Company image and brand EXPERIENCE Previous specialized industry (with specific reference to transport, distribution and logistics management) experience recommended Minimum of 3 to 5 years' management experience Business acumen - sound understanding of financial information (Profit and Loss Statement) Proven experience in customer relationship management QUALIFICATIONS Tertiary qualification (relevant qualification in general management recommended) The salary comprises of a generus basic cash, plus car allowance, plus fuel card, plus company contribution toward medical aid (50%), plus company pension fund contribution (9.5%), inclusion in the company incentive scheme (performance based), plus life, disability and funeral cover.
