Our client is a leader within the technology sector. They are looking for a Shipping Clerk / Foreign Buyer with experience in Sea, Air and Roads imports. The successfull candidate must know the freight industry and import knowledge. Must come from a corporate company NOT freight forwarding or courier companies. 1. Research and identify potential suppliers, vendors and manufactures 2. Negotiate prices, term and conditions 3. Manage supplier relationships and contracts 4. Conduct market reserch and analysis 5. Develop and maintain a network of contacts in the industry 6. Ensure compliance with customs regulations and trade laws for cross border transactions. 7. Collaborate with other departmens such as logistics, finance and operations 8. Manage inventory levels 9. Develop and implement sourcing strategies 10. Continuously monitor and evaluate supplier performance, cost and quality 5 years of experience in Sea, Air and Road import SAP experience R 23 000 - R 30 000 ctc per mont h (depending on experience and qualifications).
