The primary purpose of this position is the overall management and supervision of care related functions for residents in the Community (Retirement Village). It involves the coordination of business and operational functions to ensure the provision of effective and consistent holistic care to all residents. It focusses on quality of life and high standards of care, health, and wellbeing for every resident. The Care Manager is responsible to delegate tasks and responsibilities to senior and junior staff so that all daily operational requirements are met. Leadership to drive a quality improvement culture within the Care Centre Human Resource Management ensuring optimal utilization of care personnel, implementation of employee relations management, performance management and training. Resident and Family Satisfaction by Ongoing relationship management with Residents, Family members, Multidisciplinary Team and Auria team. Preparation and implementation of admission assessments, DQ98, care plans, ongoing care requirements Ensures the variety and quality of wellness activities that are available for all residents which actively promotes their independence, emotional, social, physical and spiritual needs Financial Management through compilation and management of a realistic nursing personnel and operational budget, sales, and Inventory control and Procurement Administration and Management of Home-Based Care Risk management Legal compliance: Ensure any regulatory activity, such as personal care and administering medicines, is delivered within regulations Diploma or Degree in Nursing. Valid Practice Licence with the South African Nursing Council Computer Literacy essential Minimum five years' experience in a nursing management capacity (Unit Manager level or higher) Additional three years previous experience in a geriatric care environment Computer Literate - Proficient in Office 365 and Windows.
