Chief Finance Officer - Pillar South Africa - Johannesburg

Por client is seeking a an experienced leader with a love for challengesto help lead and manage a rapidly growing social enterprise to make impact and profit. The CFO will be an integral part of the executive team responsible for all finance functions. Strategic, CEO-like enterprise leadership skills with a customer-centric intuition and sense of fiduciary responsibility to stakeholders and results are a must. This is a fast-paced role with a broad scope of tasks. The role spans the enterprise-wide financial decision-making and planning, to unit economics analysis, to relationship management with existing shareholders, to fundraising with new capital partners. Candidates must be willing to make at least a three-year commitment. ● As a part of the company's core leadership team, help lead the growth, profit, and impact ● Support all aspects of company's strategic decision-making via sound financial planning and analysis to enable rapid and rooted growth ● Lead fundraising and the onboarding of new capital partners, both debt and equity partners. ● Lead the financial strategy of the company, including capital allocation, ROI maximization and risk minimization plans. ● Supervise the Head of Operational Finance to perform day-to-day tasks in each country in conjunction with the company, OpCo Financial Controllers and Country Directors ● Lead the company's treasury management to ensure the liquidity needs of the business are met and cash is optimally managed within a multi-jurisdiction environment. ● Debt management: Negotiating and managing the company's borrowings ● Coordinating external financial reporting and tax compliance with support of external accountants / auditors and tax advisors. ● Oversight of group-wide internal controls, financial policies and coordinating controls reviews. ● Lead the company's annual budgeting and periodic forecasting process ● Providing finance Leadership, mentoring and managing the accounting and financial staff. ● Stakeholder management: Executive lead for the Finance Committee, leading investor relations, strategic banks relationship management and presenting financial performance at stakeholder meetings. ● Support other tasks as needed ● At least 3 years of executive CFO or Finance Director experience ● Experience with M&As, IPOs and complex financial deals helpful ● Experience with finance and reporting oversight ● At least 3 year of in-emerging-market experience ● MBA or equivalent degree, preferably from a well-respected institution ● Proven financial modeling and analysis capability ● Ability to liaise cross-culturally between stakeholders, management, and local entrepreneurs Apply Now
