Reference: CPT000031-LB -1 A well established and renowned industry leader within the steel manufacturing industry requires the services of a qualified and experienced (minimum of 5 years as a qualified artisan) conventional boring mill operator to join their team Skills & Experience: Trade qualified TURNER // BORER or equivalent required Require experience with machine setups, fixturing, tooling setups, and operation. 5 years Working knowledge of conventional and or CNC Boring Mill . Experience in HEIDENHEIN and FANUC controls would be a benefit Be able to work autonomously / independently Be willing to work overtime Own transport a necessity Available Immediately Relocate West Coast Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to problem solve machining issues to achieve efficient production outcomes. Operate mills to perform a series of machining operations. Operate machine with automatic positioning controls. Follow machining instructions, such as job order, drawings, process sheet, or layout on work piece to determine machining required, sequence of operation, tooling, feed, and speed rate, applying knowledge of materials and machining. Read and Interpret drawings, and be able to hold tolerances. Verify dimensions of machined work piece with such measuring instruments as micrometers, telescoping gauges, vernier calipers, and dial indicators. Solid knowledge of manufacturing and production principles, including safety and safe work practices. Good time management and housekeeping skills, along with the ability to multi task.
