JOB TITLE: Team Leader
REPORTS TO: Unit Manager

Job Overview:
Description

Responsible for incoming and outgoing sales calls including but not limited to emails and relevant communication internally and externally.
Collecting all relevant information required in the underwriting process.
To underwrite and apply necessary guidelines to ensure correct risk rating is applied to new and existing businesses and policies within authority limits.
Deal with all clients and brokers professionally in strict accordance with business culture, products and quality standards.
Manage time and workloads to ensure that deadlines are met. Demonstrate excellent knowledge of in-house policy wording, business products offered, underwriting rules, policies and procedures.
Tasks will include the generation of policy documents, processing of endorsements, and dealing with brokers and other departments.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Matric certificate (not negotiable)
150 FAIS and RE5-compliant
Fluent in English and Afrikaans
Experience in an underwriting environment in commercial short-term insurance is beneficial.
