Our client, a well-established and reputable short term insurance brokerage based in the Umhlanga area, is seeking an experienced Commercial Underwriter to join their dynamic team. Manage and Administrator a portfolio of clients on behalf of Client Executives. Determine premiums on mandated business. Obtain new business quotations from Insurers and prepare Excel presentations or Flexi schedules for Client Executives. Obtain renewal terms from Insurers or determine renewal terms on mandated Insurers. Prepare Renewals including Excel Spreadsheets/Reports on certain accounts for Client Executives Attend to emails and client queries timeously. Filing of documents Asist with difficult claims within the portfolio. Be deadline driven. Know policy wordings and the Binder functions Able to work independently. Have a vast knowledge of insurance products in the market Matric 5 years or more commercial underwriting experience Higher certificate in Insurance or relevant degree/diploma RE compliant
