We are a small company and are looking for members to join our team that are entrepreneural, creative, passionate, self driven and flexible ( to name a few inportant traits). Manage Sea freight shipments - export Receive Shipment handover Check charges on estimate for completeness Check compliance of agents/service provides/clients Send compliance docs to any entity related to the transaction that is not compliant Register a shipment on Cargowise – ensuring all required fields have been accurately populated Contact shipper to confirm readiness date for shipping Book shipment with carrier Arrange container packing and/or transportation and ensure container stacking Raise cargo dues Arrange payments to all 3 rd party service providers Submit Shipping instruction Submit release documents to the shipping line Keep client updated Issue final BOL Keep and file all comms and shipment related documents Manage Sea freight shipments - import Receive Shipment handover Check charges on estimate for completeness Check compliance of agents/service provides/clients Send compliance docs to any entity related to the transaction that is not compliant Register a shipment on Cargowise – ensuring all required fields have been accrurately populated Contact Export agent to confirm cargo readiness and date for shipping Confirm sea freight booking with export agent Follow up on progress daily if all is in order; follow up frequently throughout the day should problems arise with the shipments Send clearing/shipping instruction to consignee After vessel sails ensure all shipping docs have been received Monitor vessel transit Pre-arrange collection of the cargo with the transport packing 12 days prior vessel birthing: Contact shipping line for local charges and arrange release of the cargo Submit cargo dues Release to be obtained from the shipping line 4 days prior to vessel berthing date Ensure transporter is booked to collect cargo and does collect cargo within free time Track cargo movement to delivery Ensure full delivery and timeous return of empty container Bill the client and send billing pack Keep and file all comms and shipment related documents Maintain Client relationships Ensure effective, timeous, transparent and professional communication with clients at all times. Check in on clients between shipments. Criteria Grade 12. Excellent communication skills. Good arithmetical skills. Good analytical skills. Shipping knowledge Diploma or degree in logitics Competencies Assertive. Able to prioritise. Attention to detail. Proactive/ must be able to take initiative. Self-Starter. Able to perform under pressure. Flexible to change. Key performance indicators Quality of work. Attention to detail. Accuracy. Completion. Meeting deadlines. Communication. 15k to 18k Gross
