The leader in Civil Engineering and Project Management offers this exciting position to a Civil Design Technologist / Civil Engineer with experience in Municipal Infrastructure. Minimum 3-6 years post-graduation experience Experience in AutoCAD, Civil3D, WaterMate and PipeMate or similar design packages will be an advantage. Experience in designing municipal services (water & sanitation, roads and stormwater, internal, link and bulk) Experience in designing municipal services (water & sanitation, then bulk earthworks/platforms, roads and stormwater would be advantageous); Experience in professional services tendering and agreements; Experience and understanding of statutory approval processes; Experience in designing municipal services (water & sanitation, then bulk earthworks/platforms, roads and stormwater would be advantageous); Experience in professional services tendering and agreements; Experience and understanding of statutory approval processes; Planning and/or conceptual design, detail design, specification, procurement process administration and contract administration of projects. Manage commercial, quality, resourcing, scheduling and technical risk during project lifecycle; Carrying out measurements and valuations to produce accurate project schedules, quantities and valuations at all stages of a project. Experience in construction contract documentation compilation (GCC, FIDIC, NEC), and procurement processes would be advantageous Providing project information and assistance to enable effective project management. Assistance with technical advancement and business development by pursuing technical excellence and maintaining quality assurance on projects. Ensuring that project timelines and deliverables are met. Excellent technical writing skills, with good communication and time management skills. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of statutory procedures and technical standards. Work well in a team environment Strong communication and people relation management skills; Work well in a dynamic team environment and able to function independently with limited guidance Sense of urgency and ability to respond efficiently and effectively in the execution of project tasks Suitable candidate must have a valid driver's license and own vehicle, candidate must be willing to travel to remote sites. The candidate will also play role in the designing and review of work and the mentoring of staff as part of our team Experience in AutoCAD, Civil3D, WaterMate and PipeMate or similar design packages will be an advantage · Candidate must have a B. Eng or B.Tech degree in Civil Engineering Minimum 3-6 years post-graduation experience Experience in AutoCAD, Civil3D, WaterMate and PipeMate or similar design packages will be an advantage. Experience in designing municipal services (water & sanitation, roads and stormwater, bulk earthworks and platforms) Planning, conceptual design, detail design, specifications, procurement process, administration, contract administration and project management of civil engineering projects. Carrying out measurements and valuations to produce accurate project schedules, quantities and valuations at all stages of a project. Providing project information and assistance to Project Leaders to enable effective project management. Construction contract documentation compilation (GCC and FIDIC) and procurement processes. Assistance with proposals/tenders related to Real Estate. Report compilation, for civil projects. Assistance with technical advancement and business development by pursuing technical excellence and maintaining quality assurance on projects. Ensuring that project timelines and deliverables are met. Excellent technical writing skills, with good communication and time management skills. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of statutory procedures and technical standards. Ability to work independently, but also to function well in a team environment. Self-motivation.
