To carry out the heavy repair and overhaul of locomotives (General Motors, Funky & General Electric) in line with industry standards; To ensure the maintenance of all locomotives according to RSR requirements, maintenance schedules and Original Equipment Manufacturer standards; Ensuring that site maintenance and repairs are carried out on rolling stock; To follow company Health and Safety procedures as laid down in the Safety Management System; SANS 3000-2-3-2017 (Requirements for systemic engineering and operational safety standards-rolling stock); Ordering and managing relevant parts from relevant suppliers; To ensure all sites capture information on ACAP system and required reports and compliance documentation are always in place; To ensure all components repair are managed and controlled; Conduct stored spare parts audit on site; Support Site and ensuring Locos are maintained promptly. Qualificaitons and Skills Matric Qualified Artisan (Preferably a Diesel Electrical Fitter); Computer Skills (Safety Awareness); Able to draft reports; Able to identify hazards and Risk Assessments. Desirabel Work Experience 5 years relevant work experience as a senior locomotive fitter. To deliver high quality production services (repair, overhaul, and modifications) in a safe and efficient manner, ensure success by ensuring long term availability, serviceability of locomotives and oversee maintenance plans of SAFLog Locos as per required standards.
