Key Responsibilities Support the editorial and publishing team in the daily operations of Struik Christian Media Handle the reprints of titles Do market research for titles Compile information sheets for marketing purposes (Advance Information sheets and registration) Check corrections, when necessary Make suggestions for titles and subtitles Compile PowerPoint presentations Check final pages before a print-ready file is created Compile agendas and minutes Assist with editing and proofreading of titles Assist with drawing up of schedules Assist with briefs for cover design, concept designs and DTP Compile text for spec designs Assist with text selections for daily planners Assist with general administration Allocate ISBNs on ISBN list Check covers Check final print-ready files Check advance copies Make suggestions for the development of new books and/or products Qualifications & Experience Relevant tertiary qualification in Communication, Languages, Media Studies or any related field Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Skills & Competencies Solutions driven: Identifies and analyses problems, generates workable solutions and resolves problems according to acceptable business standards. Performance driven: Puts in effort to exceed expectations regarding quality and excellence. Demonstrates a sense of urgency, self-motivation and takes ownership and responsibility for work.
