Role: Electrical Supervisor
Location: Western Cape, Gansbaai

Responsibilities:- Undertake day-to-day maintenance and repair work, including advanced repairs as needed.
- Take charge of generator and key electricity supply and control responsibilities.
- Ensure compliance with OSH Act regulations by servicing all MV switchgear and transformers.
- Implement and complete preventative maintenance schedules.
- Lead new project scoping and installation initiatives.
- Execute and complete all electrical preventative maintenance work orders.
- Manage all electrical statutory requirements for equipment.
- Safely operate workshop and farm tools and ensure accountability for all equipment.
- Maintain detailed records of all work carried out.
- Report any incidents of damage, vandalism, theft, or breakdowns promptly.
- Enforce company procedures and practices among subordinates.
- Be available for standby and weekend duties.
- Secure best prices for spares and work conducted.
- Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment at all times.
- Conduct basic daily checks before 8 am to ensure smooth farm operations.
- Optimize inventory use and implement stock control for relevant spares.
- Supervise the team on daily, weekly, and weekend duties.
Training and Experience:- Electrical Trade Test certification.
- N4 National Technical Certificate.
- Proficiency in Preventative Maintenance systems.
- MV switching certificate.
- Comprehensive knowledge of various equipment such as pumps, blower fans, heat pumps, cooling units, gearboxes, generators, and compressors.
- Familiarity with power factor correction units and medium voltage transformers and switchgear (22kV).
- Basic understanding of PLC systems.
- Awareness of statutory requirements for OSH Act compliance.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while also managing a team, with at least 3 years of supervisory experience in maintenance.
