Dynamic, progressive company in the Mkondo/Ermelo area has a vacancy for a Farm Manager specializing in silviculture. The business involves both farming and production. Job Summary: The Farm Manager will oversee and manage silviculture, harvesting & firefighting teams and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and quantity standards. Supervisory Responsibilities: Trains and manages farm/harvesting employees on the assigned shift. Fire prevention & control, firefighting. Production support. Oversee the daily workflow and assignments of the shift. Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations. Duties/Responsibilities Oversees silviculture, farming & harvesting operations. Assist with production when required. Oversees fire teams. Prepares work schedules to ensure efficient operations. Maintains knowledge of processes and equipment. Troubleshoot issues that arise. Notifies maintenance department of equipment problems. Ensures the employees comply with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures. Required Skills / Abilities: Proficient with English and Zulu Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn silviculture / farming / harvesting operations and equipment / machinery and production processes. Excellent supervisory and leadership skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines / targets. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Proficient with Microsoft office to do budgets & complete reports. 5 Years minimum experience Apply Now
