Finance Manager - - Johannesburg

My client is seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join their team and oversee the financial operations of their Support Services department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team, ensuring efficient financial processes, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company's growth and success.

This role is based in Sandton, Johannesburg North.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead a team and supervise all Support Services functions.
Act as a Bank Signatory, overseeing EFT payments and updating creditor banking details.
Approve journal entries and oversee the Point of Sale (POS) system, including purchase order release.
Scrutinize balance sheet reconciliations and conduct income statement analysis.
Assess monthly stats reporting and Group charges, managing Group VAT submissions.
Compile Quarterly Stats reports.
Supervise year-end audits and budgets for Support Services, including account preparation and consolidation, and aiding in Group Consolidation.
Generate monthly, quarterly reports, and forecasts reports.
Assist departmental management with inquiries and budgeting processes.
Administer monthly group support services fringe benefit company car schedules for payroll.
Perform monthly budget vs actual variance analysis.
Ensure effective implementation and operation of control procedures.
Manage various ad-hoc Group management accounting tasks as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Proven experience in a similar role, with at least 3 - 5 years of experience in financial management.
