Financial Accountant - Cape Town City Centre
My client, a growing Debt Advisory Business is looking for a Financial Accountant to join their team. This role is an extension of the Financial Manager duties and encompasses the full accounting function, as well as providing financial administration support into the Director of the business.
Responsibilities:
- Bank Reconciliation and Cash Flow Projections
- Monthly account reconciliations and payments
- Capturing invoices and receipts; resolving queries
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts to supporting schedules
- Monthly Journals to reconcile balance sheet: shareholders' interest; provisions; tax; depreciation, etc
- VAT and PAYE recons & submissions
- Compliance: Workmen's compensation, Employment Equity etc
- Capture monthly payroll (EMP201 Recons and submissions; EMP501 Recons; Bi-annual and annual IRP5 submissions)
- Compile monthly management report and shareholders' pack in Excel for various entities
- Monitor budgets and cashflow and annual audit preparations
Requirements:
- SAIPA or SAICA completed articles is desirable
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- Advanced Excel
- Experience working in Xero and Sage Payroll is advantageous
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles
- Strong numeracy skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
