Financial Accountant (3 Months Contract) Market Related - Johannesburg

We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant for a 3-month contract role based in our Johannesburg office. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to provide critical accounting support during our year-end close process. Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in accordance with IFRS Perform account reconciliations for bank, intercompany, payroll, and balance sheet accounts Analyze financial reports and records, identify issues, and propose solutions Assist in the month-end/year-end close process including accruals, prepayments, and other adjustments Prepare audit schedules and provide supporting documentation for external auditors Handle ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis requests from management Ensure all accounting processes are controlled and compliant with company policies Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent 5 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting roles Proficiency in accounting software like SAP, Oracle, etc. Advanced MS Excel skills for data manipulation and analysis Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines Excellent communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams Experience with IFRS or local GAAP reporting standards Nice to Have: Professional qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA, or CIMA) Prior experience with year-end audits is an advantage Knowledge of tax and compliance requirements Market Related
