We are seeking a dedicated and detail-orientated Financial Accountant. Applicant to have a part Accounting/Bcom degree and/or relevant experience working at a qualified accounting firm at a minimum. The ideal candidate will be responsible for day-to-day treasury management and maintaining the full set of accounting records up to trial balance and preparing monthly management accounts for a number of affiliated entities. Fiscal Control, Analysis and Reporting Responsible for daily management of treasury of both incoming funds and money spent Daily processing of all cash book transactions Monthly processing of standard journals Daily and monthly reconciliations of all loan book, bank and key ledger accounts Monthly statutory returns Monthly management accounts Policies, procedures and regulations Ensure that operational staff follow company policies relating to loans advanced and purchases and payables Loan Book Transaction Processing Process loan disbursements, refunds, receipts and settlements in Loan Book Platform. Manage monthly debit order runs Knowledge and Skills: Technical accounting and bookkeeping skills and knowledge Attention to detail Computer literate with intermediate/advanced Excel skills and accounting software experience, ideally in Pastel Ability to liaise with all levels of staff Ability to work independently from home but also as part of a team Effective time management, prioritisation and organisational skills Min. 5 years accounting experience Ideally second or third year accounting at tertiary level Behavioural Traits: Results and delivery focused Attention to detail Professionalism Effective time management Able to stick to deadlines Other: Work from home Report to CFO Must be Gauteng based Market Related
