The position of Financial Analyst has become available at our Port Elizabeth offices, reporting to the Chief Investment Officer. Collect monthly management accounts. Develop forecast tools and dashboards to analyse revenue variance, business, and industry trends. Analyse industry sector trends Analyse financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Develop and implement strategies to maximize profitability and minimize risk. Evaluate risk parameters while analysing proposed investment prospects on a daily basis. Identifying and commenting on key investment issues at managerial meetings Involved in the development of investment process and strategy. Maintain relationships with stakeholders. Monitor and analyse the financial performance of the company. Perform annual/quarterly/Bi-annual reports to the bank and test for loan compliance with covenants. Perform business valuations for investments. Prepare and review financial reports for external stakeholders/senior management. Present reports at board meetings clearly and concisely to aid in markets decision making. Provide and write deal memorandum reports on disposals/acquisitions. Provide financial advice and guidance to senior management. Support senior management in decision making through comprehensive financial analysis. Undertaking detailed quarterly analysis of portfolio returns QUALIFICATION CA (SA), CFA or equivalent EXPERIENCE Minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar role Understanding basic valuation principles Understanding corporate finance / financial modelling Advanced Excel SKILLS Excellent communication skills Good organizational skills with high attention to detail.
