Voltex (Pty) Ltd is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the role of a Financial Manager for their National Wholesale office . This incumbent will be reporting to the Chief Financial Officer . The purpose of this role is to be responsible for the planning, implementation, managing and running of all the finance activities of the division, including business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Develop the financial well-being of the division by providing the full spectrum of financial expertise Review and interpret monthly management accounts, while recommending further course of action Analysing operations, identifying opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities, assist with strategic analysis and planning Review and sign off journals Manage working capital including debtors and creditors Manage inventory: inventory levels, costing of inventory and implementation of inventory controls Responsible for the assessment and implementation of internal controls Prepare interdivisional and interbranch reconciliations Review and analyse provisions Review regional general ledger reconciliations Manage banking and cash flow Prepare annual reporting pack and ensure compliance with IFRS Ensure compliance with tax regulations including submissions of tax returns Responsible for compilation and consolidation of divisional budget templates Review of payroll and statutory payments Support project analysis, validation of plans, and ad-hoc requests by the Chief Financial Officer Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements A newly Qualified Chartered Accountant is an ADVANTAGE Thorough knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Experience within the retail or wholesale environment Proven knowledge of cost control, financial analysis, accounting principles, practices, standard laws, and regulations is a MUST Knowledge of Corporate Governance, relating to risk management, financial reporting, financial auditing, controls, and compliance is a MUST Proven track record in the implementation of internal controls, corporate governance policies, improved operational efficiencies and financial models Solid understanding of statutory requirements, e.g., VAT, PAYE and INCOME TAX Strong knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Excel Apply Now
