Foreman/Surveyor - Civil Construction - Wellington

Our client is a leading construction company in the Western Cape and they would like appoint Civil Foremen who also have some experience in Surveying in the Civil Construction industry. The company is based in Wellingon, but the candidates should be prepared to work away from home from time to time. Only candidates residing in the Western Cape should apply. The successful candidate should have excellent people management, leadership and communications skills. The person should be able to plan and coordinate the use of materials and plant equipment in a most cost effective manner to delivery quality work to the customer while keeping the company's interest at heart. Successful candidates should have good technical knowledge of Civil Construction works. - National Diploma in Civil Engineering or similar qualification; - at least 5 years' experience in civil construction (only civil); - at least 2 years' experience as a Foreman in civil construction; - Surveyor knowledge will be an advantage; Strong technical knowledge of Civil works is required. - must be able to communicate in both Afrikaans and English; - valid drivers' license; and - must be independently minded and not afraid to use initiative. Preference will be given to candidates with all or any of the following civil construction experience: Concrete works, Pipelines; sewerage, water and storm water works; underground civil construction services (including underground pipelines) and road construction. Above-average remuneration package on offer.
