Group Accountant - Cape Town City Centre

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the financial operations of the institution, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and resource allocation.
  • Develop and implement effective financial policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure financial stability and liquidity.
  • Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure accurate and timely completion of audits.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to senior management and the board of directors.
  • Collaborate with various departments to support financial planning and budget management.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and competitiveness.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, CA Qualification is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the education sector.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and best practices.
