Our client is seeking a talented Group Financial Reporting Accountant to join their dynamic team and help drive their financial reporting processes to new heights Known for being a leading investment management firm, our client is dedicated to delivering exceptional results for their clients. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the financial reporting processes across the organisation. Submit your CV to Stormsalixrecruitment.co.za Duties: Prepare and consolidate financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) or Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls. Coordinate and support internal and external audits. Analyse financial data and provide insights on business performance and trends. Prepare management reports and presentations for senior leadership. Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts for the group, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Manage intercompany reconciliations and eliminate intercompany transactions during consolidation. Collaborate with the tax department to ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in tax planning and reporting. Identify opportunities for process improvement in financial reporting and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on financial matters. Utilise financial software and tools to manage and report on financial data. Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of financial systems. Job Experience & Skills Required: Qualifications: Matric (Grade 12) BCom Accounting / Finance BCom Honours CA(SA) Experience: Completed SAICA Articles Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial reporting, preferably within a group or corporate environment. Experience in a multinational organisation is beneficial. Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of IFRS or GAAP. Proficiency in financial software. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex financial data. Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders. Attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments. Demonstrated commitment to ethical behaviour and integrity in financial reporting.
