The Chrysalis Academy is a non-profit organisation based in Tokai (Cape Town) offering a three-month residential youth development programme for youth of the Western Cape. The programme is holistic and strongly based on discipline, structure, order and routine. Chrysalis Academy is a smoke, drug and alcohol-free organisation seeking an energetic, highly motivated and well-grounded individual who shares the Academy's values and displays exemplary role modelling by embodying the Academy's holistic approach to fill the following contract position: Provide administrative support to the recruitment and selection of employees (job descriptions, adverts, CV screening, shortlisting, interviews, appointment submissions, contracts and induction). Ensure all payroll inputs are received on time and review for accuracy (including entry and exit documentation). Ensure leave forms are received, captured and filed timeously and conduct monthly leave audits. Provide administrative support staff terminations (I.U. 19 forms, certificates of service, exit interviews). Assist with drafting and updating the Academy's policies and procedures. Coordinate staff training and development (skills audit, quotes, registration, certificates and tracking). Assist with the submission of reports (WSP, ATR and ROE reports). Assist with employee performance management processes (contract and probation review processes, performance assessments etc.). Ensure that all documentation related to Workman's Compensation are completed. Assist with general HR Administration (including administrative duties pertaining to coordination functions linked to the Western Cape Safety Plan/Chrysalis expansion project). Human Resource Management Diploma or similar qualification. Minimum of 5 years Human Resource Administration experience. Thorough knowledge of the South African labour law (Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Labour Relations Act, Employment Equity Act, etc.). Strong understanding of HR practices, processes, policies and procedures. Payroll administration experience (VIP Payroll – advantageous). Competent in English and at least one (1) other South African language. Well-grounded, non-smoker with sober habits. Excellent typing and administration skills. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Excellent planning and organizational skills. Honest, reliable and punctual. Confidential, mature and professional at all times. Can work independently as well as being a team player. Attention to detail. Proactive thinking. R 134 400 per annum Apply Now
