Exciting Opportunity in La Mercy, KwaZulu Natal We are actively seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Manager/HR Business Partner to join our team in La Mercy. This role presents a fantastic opportunity for a female professional with VIP experience, exceptional attention to detail, and a passion for driving strategic HR initiatives. Position: HR Manager/HR Business Partner Location: La Mercy, KwaZulu Natal Salary: R30,000 – R45,000 per month (plus benefits) Availability: Immediate Key Benefits: 50% hospital plan on medical aid after 3 months 12% contribution to Pension fund after 12 months Reporting to: HR Director Role - Responsible for the professional management of the full Human Resources function, and to provide strategic HR insights to the executive team. Key Responsibilities: HR Administration • Oversee the leave administration and approval function and ensure compliance to the leave policy. • Effective communication with regional sales teams regarding HR related matters: leave/advice/payments. • Completion of the applicable UIF forms when necessary. • Management of employee communications regarding benefits and ensure that documentation and communication is facilitated timeously. • Manage the relationship between the company and Altorvox. • Ensure that thorough records are maintained of all HR transactions (i.e. benefits, On-Boarding, Timekeeping etc) Payroll • Check and supervise salaries on VIP Premier. • Oversight of preparation of payroll schedules • Monthly payroll reporting and overall payroll accountability. • Manage annual increase process. • Manage salary levels/benchmarking to ensure internal parity and retention. Industrial Relations • Handle conflicts, disciplinary actions, and terminations. • Manage poor work performance processes. • Liaise with Labournet in respect of hearings, dismissals and counselings. • Undertake and conduct investigations and/or hearings when necessary. • Ensure compliance with HR policies and the disciplinary code of conduct. • Manage any CCMA or labour court matters. • Provide guidance and support to supervisors and line management. Talent, Succession and Performance Management • Management of the recruitment process and hiring of new staff. • Advertise, screen and interview potential candidates. • Manage the vetting process and pre-employment checks. • Development of job descriptions and roles dependent on business requirements. • Prepare new employee proposals, increases, and promotion letters. • Drafting of appointment letters and contract addendums and to ensure contracts are up to date with current employment legislation. • Manage employee on-boarding programme and ensure that new joiners are inducted correctly in accordance with the relevant procedure. • Ensure that all staff have up to date and signed job descriptions. • Implement and maintain the performance management policy. • Coach supervisors and line managers on the appraisal system. • Schedule the necessary performance appraisal reviews in line with the performance management policy. Employment Equity • Designated EE S24 Manager. • Coordinate quarterly EE committee meetings and all correspondence with Labournet. • Ensure compliance and efficient administration. • Responsible for the compilation and submission of annual EE reports and to ensure that all data is correct for submission. • Meeting with Department of Labour and managing inspections. Strategic HR Management • Draft new and amend existing company policies and procedures in line with changing legislation and/or business needs. • Ensure adherence to all HR policies and communicate updates with the business. • Attend monthly ELT sessions and report back on HR related matters in line with the overall business objectives. Staff Development & Training • Manage all staff training and development initiatives. • Develop and maintain succession planning within the business. • Policy training and awareness workshops for all staff. HR Compliance • Ensure proper application of the relevant labour legislation (BCEA, LRA, EEA, POPIA) • Monthly PAYE submission • EMP 501 submissions • COIDA: prepare annual Workmans Compensation report to DoEL • Skills Development: Prepare annual skills report and submit timeously to the W&R Seta. • B-BBEE: Collate information for BEE. • POPI: submission of annual report and ensure compliance. General • Management of fleet vehicles including services, general maintenance and repairs and licensing. • Assist with staff functions and general event coordination. • Employee wellness by prioritizing, promoting and reporting on staff wellness. Experience: Previous experience in the private sector is essential VIP experience is highly preferable Proficiency in Excel and Office suite Relevant tertiary education is advantageous Prior experience in FMCG is advantageous.
