Dynamic company in the lifting equipment industry is looking for an experienced Internal Sales Consultant to join their team. The Hire Desk Controller is responsible to handle calls, submit quotes, achieve targets and build the brand. Sales: Handle the complete hire process from submitting quotations to submitting final invoice. Achieve revenue and utilisation targets Handle incoming customer calls Hunt for new prospects and make cold calls Convert prospects into new customers Convert hire quotations into firm bookings Prepare, submit and follow up hire quotations Be able to explain our Terms and Conditions of Hire and Sale to customers Do daily follow up's with customers re: quotations, payments, customer experience and hire extensions Ensure that customers are advised about damages Work closely with Key Account Managers Communicate effectively with Workshop and Logistic staff Build sustainable and profitable relationships with customers Ensure customer contact details are accurate and up to date Resolve customer queries Ensure that all the relevant information is obtained e.g. period of rental, weekend work, site safety requirements etc. Sell competency training to customers Acquire ongoing product knowledge Additional duties as assigned from time to time Administration: Issue Credit Application and Customer Information forms to new customers Check returned credit applications and check for completeness Follow up on outstanding payments Obtain customer order numbers Manage all off hires re: reference numbers and dates Manage COD hires & pro-forma invoices. Follow up on all missing paperwork and customer orders Log breakdowns Assist with stock takes Grade 12 Certificate Minimum 3 years hire desk experience in the rental of construction equipment Excellent interpersonal skills Tenacious, able to handle pressure Able to closie deals Strong administration skills Able to work with a wide range of people including customers, sales team, technicians and drivers R20 000 CTC negotiable, depending on experience commission
