A modern provider of education and training who specialises in online learning is looking for an IT Executive to join their team. Oversee the development and management of the IT infrastructure and services across the business, ensuring seamless delivery of online educational programs. Lead the IT team in desigining, implementing, and maintaining systems that support both academic and administrative functions. Develop strategic plans for the IT department that align with the business's overall objectives. Collaborate with academic staff to integrate cutting-edge technology into the curriculum and enhance the learning experience. Manage vendor relationships and negative contracts to ensure cost-effective provisioning services. Ensure the security of information systems and compliance with data protection regulations are met. Establish and uphold IT policies and procedures, ensuring clear communicatin and strict comploance across all departments. Regularly report to the CEO with updates, progress, and strategic advice. Post Graduate degree in information technology, information systems, computer science or related field (NQF level 7 or above). Certifications in PMP, ITIL, or similar. Experience in teaching and learning support platforms or systems in higher education. Minimum 8 years' experience working in IT operations. Minimum 3 years' experience overseeing IT teams and projects. Experience at senior management level. Proven knowledge of and experience in strategic planning. Proven track record of managing IT projects from inception to completion. Deep understanding of cloud services, software development, and web technologies.
