Reference: DBN003555-SS-1 A global pharmaceutical company has a vacancy for an IT Specialist. Job Purpose: To ensure that IT support to the Group is provided timeously and aligned with corporate standards by, engaging with various venders and logging of calls, assisting Head of IT with projects and day to day tasks and providing first level IT support. Main Duties and Responsibilities are: Creating user accounts and managing access control. Providing IT support and resolving problems for colleagues. Assisting with onboarding of new colleagues. Procuring, maintaining, and administering corporate hardware systems. Upgrading, installing, and configuring new hardware and software in line with corporate standards to meet company objectives. Monitoring and maintaining networks and servers. Implementing security protocols and procedures to prevent potential threats. Managing the company printers and interfacing with the Vendor to procure toner and resolve support issues. Managing the company PABX system and interfacing with the Vendor to procure toner and resolve support issues. Deploying and enforcing security policies and procedures. Keeping up to date with advancements and best practices in IT administration. Suggesting and implementing improvements in procedures and equipment. Ad hoc projects as required. Timely complete all annual Integrity & Compliance trainings and declarations (Conflict of Interest, Code of Conduct, ABAB Awareness, Data Protection). Forwarding of all received Product Quality Complaints, Adverse Events and Medical Enquiries to the relevant person in Quality Assurance/ Pharmacovigilance/ Medical Affairs Requirements: Related Bachelor's Degree: computer science, information technology, information systems, or similar with basic networking knowledge. At least 5 years' experience in a similar role within a multinational organisation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written. Exceptional organizational and time management skills. Knowledge of help desk software and remote-control tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and maintain customer satisfaction. Solid knowledge of best practices in IT administration and system security. Experience with IT systems, networks, Microsoft on prem and cloud-based systems and related technologies.
