Dynamic company in the industrial sector is looking for a Junior Accountant to join their expanding team. The Junior Accountant is responsible for assisting the Financial Manager in managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. Financial Transactions Assist with the rollout of the new wage system and ensure the weekly wage records are correct. Assist the Financial Manager with the review of creditors recons. Assist the credit controller with the collection of debt for one of our divisions and ensure accounts receivable queries are resolved. Assist in the preparation for audits and tax filings. Maintain and update financial records. Assist in the analysis of financial data. Provide support to the Financial Manager and other team members as needed. Month-end Processes Assist in preparing month-end journals and accruals. Assist in preparing month-end reports and analysis. Participate in month-end closing activities. Administration Comply with company authority limits. Enter financial transactions into the system. Assist in conducting financial audits. Other related duties as assigned from time to time. Discipline Maintain appropriate discipline at all times. Carry out all reasonable instructions given. Promote and follow company policies and procedures. Maintain good timekeeping. Bachelor's degree/diploma in Accounting or Finance 1-2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance Proficiency in accounting software (including wage system) and Microsoft Office suite Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team R20 000 - R25 000 CTC (including medical aid & provident fund) Annual performance bonus
