Key Accounts Manager: Foschini Trend and Design - South Africa

JOB DESCRIPTION Key Accounts Manager Design Centre Permanent The opportunity: An exciting position has arisen within the Design and Manufacturing Division, for a Key Accounts Manager. The successful candidate must have at least 5 years' experience in the Design and Manufacturing of Ladies High Fashion apparel. They need to have had experience in managing a Team across various job functions. They must have dealt directly with major fashion retailers within the South African market and have had direct dealing with Buyers, Planners, Fabric Suppliers and CMT factories. Responsibilities: Managing a large team. Dealing directly with both buyers and planners within the retail team and some of the major fashion retailers in South Africa. Dealing with both Fabric and Trims suppliers. Managing the workflow within the team to ensure that product is delivered on time to our Retailer. Managing cost centres and budgets to insure best use of company funds. Constantly improving costs and efficiencies to insure the best possible service to the Retailer. Requirements: The successful candidate must have at least 5 years' experience in the Design and Manufacturing of Ladies High Fashion apparel. They need to have had experience in managing a Team across various job functions. They must have dealt directly with major fashion retailers within the South African market. They need to have had direct dealing with Buyers, Planners, Fabric Suppliers and CMT factories. Design/Trend background is essential as the candidate needs a clear understanding of trends to influence product development and insure good rate of sale. HR experience and previous leadership experience is vital. Behaviours: Ability to source and implement effective solutions in a fast-paced environment Excellent planning, organising and multi-tasking ability required. Time management is key High level of commitment and have the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively Have a high degree of decision making ability and be service orientated Interpersonal skills, assertive and able to communicate at all levels, as well as present to large groups Agility and team player mind-set a must Preference will be given, but not limited to candidates from designated groups in terms of the Employment Equity Act ABOUT US Who we are is because of our people.
