Logistics Planner - East London
Logistics Planner required for a reputable automotive manufacturing company based in East London , Eastern Cape
Requirements
- Logistics tertiary qualification is essential
- Minimum 5 years of supply chain experience within the automotive manufacturing environment essential
- Display a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Good communicator
- Good administrative experience and computer skills are essential i.e. Pivot tables
Responsibilities:
- To place weekly raw material orders on suppliers
- Track customer variation on orders that could be transmitted to our supplier base
- Expedite orders using the standard transport mode
- Escalate material or supply problems
- Ensure to monitor on-time delivery
- Ensure that all imports requirements are met (FCL/LCL requirements - TO's , forecasts, etc)
- Review and action delivery discrepancies
- Manage excess and obsolescence management, engineering change management of parts
- Work with the team on CIPs
- Cycle count control of parts at risk / needing review
- Supplier management
