Reference: CPT000366-LO-1 A company within the manufacturing sector is seeking a qualified Machine Tool Fitter to join them in the Machine Shop. The candidate will need to know how to strip and assemble different types of machines and be able to repair breakdowns. Responsibilities: Read and understand technical drawings. Measure with verniers, micrometers, thread gauges etc. Strip and assemble gearboxes. Draft a materials list and complete simple sketches and drawings. Do routine maintenance and attend to mechanical break downs when required. Strip and assemble lead screws and ball screws. Qualification & Experience: Matric or equivalent along with at least 5 years post apprenticeship experience within a Machine Shop. Trade Tested Fitter with 10 years' experience. Must be familiar with setting gibs. Must have hydraulics and pneumatics operating machinery experience. Must be familiar with electromagnetic and mechanical clutches. Must have proven ability to do fault finding.
