CLIENT in the TRANSPORT, PASSENGER SERVICES AND AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY requires the services of an AUTOMOTIVE MACHINIST at thier offices in the Johannesburg area as soon as possible JOB OUTPUTS Perform various machinist activities at the automotive section in the factory. Re-bore, Line-bore, Crankshaft grinding, Recondition of Cylinder Heads and Connecting Rods. Participate in the implementation of the Production Management Systems in the factory. ( ISO 9001 ) Complete all job related admin, i.e. Control Sheets, Job cards, Stores Requisitions, Quality Control Sheets etc. KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ATTRIBUTES Good knowledge of tools. Knowledge of safety standards Knowledge of the OHS Act Knowledge of ISO9001 Knowledge of an industrial workshop environment Good communication and interpersonal skills Time management skills Diagnostic and Fault finding skills Ability to work on horizontal boring mill, lathe and milling machine Have good work ethics. Willing to work after hours if required. Ability to work in a team. Ability to handle multi tasks. Reliable Honesty Proactive . JOB REQUIREMENTS The ideal applicant will possess the following:- Automotive Machinist Trade Test Certificate – Tested by an accredited institution. Minimum of 3-5 years working experience as an Automotive Machinist SALARY HIGHLY NEGOTIABLE
