Optimising own expertise and experience to assist site in achieving outstanding support services to the manufacturing facilities by leading this output through a motivated, well managed Artisan and support team. To achieve Department goals across all applicable content areas and forging cross departmental relationships based on common Company values and ways of working. • Directs, plans and coordinates all engineering activities relevant to their plant and co-ordinates with all other Engineering departments and service providers to optimise value-add and reduce downtime and production disruption • Prioritises workplace team oversight including the ongoing development and support of all levels. Assigning tasks and ensuring follow up • Work with all relevant stakeholders to ensure audit ready standards are maintained as a work space norm • Plan and execute preventative maintenance strategies and plans to minimise downtime and optimise equipment performance • As GMR2.7 - assist in enforcing H&S protocols and standards on site, across all departments, sets excellent example • Required to engage in solution focused approach across all Engineering facets on site • Plan the repair and maintenance of all mechanical equipment, buildings and machines – with strong trouble shooting skills • Assist with process improvements projects • Effective contractor control • Attention to detail will be a prerequisite • Strong time management competency is a pre-requisite (own and others) • Financial acumen – capability to manage budgets efficiently, control cost and optimise resource utilization • Inventory control – experience in managing optimised stock holding - balancing cost with downtime prevention • Documentation control – proficient in maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities including work orders, equipment history and performance metrics • Regulatory compliance – ensure DOH, OHSA, and food industry specific certification standards are met • Adaptability – flexible mindset to respond effectively to changing priorities and emergencies within required quality standards and operational limitations • Teamwork orientation – promoting Company values within all aspects • Red seal qualification : Mechanical Fitter and/or Fitter & Turner, or Electrician • A minimum of 8 years' experience in FMCG, of which a minimum of 3 years is in a senior position managing (qualified) direct reports as well as a team of technician (semi-skill) direct reports • Strong technical knowledge of common food industry machinery, equipment and systems and equally competent in both electrical and mechanical systems (refrigeration/pneumatics and pressure systems fall within this scope) • One vacancy is for an incumbent with extensive refrigeration experience as core skill component (reciprocating compressors) • A second vacancy exists for an incumbent with extensive manufacturing experience, gained within the food equipment manufacturing industry would be advantageous as well as strong project management skills Market Related Apply Now
