We are looking for an individual with minimum 15 years' project management experience , with minimum 10 years post registration as a PRCPM with SACPCMP. Must have proven track record of delivering projects within Built Environment and PMU( Project Management Unit ) as well as Programme Management experience. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing and leading Project Management throughout the company . The position is based in Alberton , overseeing Project Management operations throughout the organisation. Knowledge, skills and experience Draft the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the Project Management (PM) Department. Draft the PM Projects Implementation Flow Chart for effective & efficient running of projects. Responsible to formulate and draft PM Policies with best practice relevant to the organisation to ensure efficient running of the PM Dept. Ensure compliance with Standards/Regulations & Laws that govern the PM discipline. Run the entire Project Management Unit (PMU) projects/programmes/submissions. Develop Standard Report Templates for Different Stages of the project. Develop Reports to be used for PMU sourcing/implementation. Take accountability and assign responsible person/be responsible for the preparation of PMU reports for submission to various stake holders. Draft Reports for sourcing PMU funding to the relevant funders . Assist Other Departments where PM Interventions area required and manage good working relationship with various Mekan Departments. Assist the Tendering Department on Tenders that require PM Resources/Inputs & Documents. Mentor Mekan Staff that need to be mentored towards registering as PrCPM with SACPCMP. Assist Tendering Department with drafting programmes on tenders that require a PM to draft a proposed construction programme. Source clients/projects for PM Department or engage Mekan Directors where he needs help to achieve this exercise. Ensure Profitability of the department. Conduct skills audit from time to time to ensure that resources skills are aligned with project and company requirements to deliver projects successfully. Draft a training programme for PM's at different levels when employment of PM staff is required. Identify opportunities where PM can penetrate to expand its reach and profitability. Coordinate PM works with Engineering of any other department within Mekan where there are cross functions on the same project/assignment. Uphold the professional ethics and always protect Mekan's reputation when discharging departmental duties. Engage Finance Department on the financial matters of the department. Assist Human Capital/Resources (HC/R) or contribute drafting/amendment of the PM KPI/As. Identify training/software/hardware required to deliver qualify, effective, efficient, and professional work to the clients. Advise on matters/things that can hamper growth or be to the detriment of the department. Be Accountable and responsible for all PM Projects under his administration from Stage 1 to 6 or evening pre-feasibility where the project calls for such stage. Good written and verbal communication skills. Proven effective leadership skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team. Qualifications and Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in construction management , Project Management , Engineering, or related area of study Thorough understanding of Project Management Software's . E.g MS Project Exceptional relationship management skills SACPCMP Certification is manadatory PMP Certification is advantageous. Job Requirements License/Certification SACPCMP Certificate (Required) ASHRAE (Preferred) SAIRAC (Preferred) SAIMECHE (Preferred) Experience Must have proven track record of managing large sized projects (R500 million) comfortably without supervision. Remuneration Structure: Basic Salary (From R70 000 per month - Market related depending on skills, competency and experience) Pension Medical Aid Professional Membership Fee Sponsorship Travel reimbursements.
