A building construction company based in Gauteng focussed on industrial and commercial projects is looking for a dynamic Contracts Manager to join their team. Please ensure the MINIMUM requirements are met before applying. Main purpose of the position: Oversee and coordinate site activities, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and managing production targets within specified cost budgets. Facilitate communication between clients and site staff, agreeing on project parameters, and submitting regular financial reports. Project Initiation : Thorough understanding of the conditions of the Contract Agreements on the contracts assigned to them. Thorough understanding of the compilation of the tenders of the contracts assigned to them. Planning the contract : Formulate construction plans including safety, QA, contract admin and subcontract management. Lead the retender processes in conjunction with tender and construction teams. Initiate procurement plans and assist with better buying with the team. Programming the contract : Formulate construction plans including safety, QA, contract admin and subcontract management. Asses, evaluate and include detailed programmes from sub-contractors and specialist trades. Manage and update the programmes. Contract execution : Manage and supervise contracts. Timeous procurement of all resources. Approve safety plans and manage the safety processes. QA plans and management. Environmental plans and management. Contract administration for contracts. Management and supervision of sub-contractors. Contract reporting: financial and progress report. Contracts close out. Financial performance of contracts assigned to them. Human Resources : Industrial relations, training & development of staff and staff productivity. Behavioural Competencies: Good interpersonal skills. Leadership qualities. Technical and analytical. Negotiation skills. Attention to detail. Legal Requirements: No criminal record. Valid Driver's Licence. MINIMUM Requirements: Experience: Minimum 8 years' experience managing contracts for building projects. Education: BSc / BTech or NDip (Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Quantity Surveying) Computer software: BuildSmart CCS Microsoft Office Suite Negotiable based on experience Apply Now
