Marketing Communications Coordinator - Springs

The below is an overview of your responsibilities (but is not limited to);
Marketing
a. Generate a marketing communication strategy and annual programme of action.
b. Manage and maintain all our printed and digital promotional material
c. Manage and maintain all product information and related training material
d. Manage and maintain the website
e. Manage and maintain all customer-facing social media accounts
f. Manage and maintain an accurate database of our customers
g. Manage and publish weekly marketing reports
h. Take notes and minutes at marketing meetings and distribute them to the team members
i. Manage and design targeted marketing campaigns (email campaigns, magazine ads, social media posts, etc.)
j. Design all branding requirements, including product stickers, packaging, events, etc.
k. Manage all the calendar and logistics of promotional events
l. Coordinate product testing at internal and third-party sites
m. Generate sales reports and track the marketing team's pipeline.
n. Manage the application for vendor numbers
o. Manage access to supplier systems (Ariba, Coupa, etc.)
p. Actively promote and enable buyers to send relevant inquiries/orders on the leading procurement portals used by the mines.
•Lean manufacturing - Productivity SA champion for the marketing team - Track and maintain the marketing team's lean program to support the team in maintaining a level 4 or higher on team effectiveness.
Tenders - Lead and coordinate the preparation of tender documents and submission
R&D and Product Development - Assist the team leader by coordinating the team's activities and keeping a record of R&D meetings and projects/programs

Minimum requirements

• Matric with an average of at least 65%.
• B-com Marketing, Communications or similar with average of at least 60% for the programmes.
• Be able to manage and edit websites and social media platforms and maintain printed and digital promotional material.
• At least three years of work experience in a similar role.
• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
• Must have a strong knack for marketing.
• Must be able to communicate with personnel on all levels (from top management to junior positions).
• Should be proficient in editing, graphic designing, and maintaining all promotional material.
• Complete Adobe suite experience, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premier Pro, etc. (or sound experience in any similar creative designing/edition suites)


The below would be advantageous:
• Honours or master’s degree
• At least three years’ experience in the Mining industry (preferably underground),
• At least two years of people management experience and
• Knowledge of underground drilling equipment, roof support systems and products, processes, and consumables within the Mining industry.
