The company is seeking to employ and experienced Mechanical Draughtman, with proven professional HVAC experience to join our Projects Team in Cape Town. As HVAC Draughtsman, you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans for HVAC Systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications and industry standards. Note this is note an entry level position - please read the requirements of the position carefully before applying. This position is ideal for individuals who reside in Cape Town with clear sober habits and available immediately. The responsibilities of the HVAC Mechanical Draughtsman include: Collaborate with stakeholder to develop detailed drawings and plans for HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, equipment layouts, and schematics. Attend on an Ad-hoc basis site briefings with Engineers and Project managers. Utilize CAD software to create accurate and precise technical drawings. Interpret and incorporate engineering sketches, notes, and specifications into detailed drawings. Visiting sites to mark-up drawings including final As-Builts Review and revise drawings to ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and project requirements. Coordinate with team members and stakeholders to resolve design issues and address project challenges. Assist in the preparation of material take-offs, equipment schedules, and other project documentation. Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and project-related documents. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to HVAC design and drafting. Adhere to project timelines and deadlines to ensure timely completion of deliverables Required Experience Minimum 3 years proven experience as Mechanical Draughtsman wtihin HVAC Industry or field (compulsory). Required Qualifications Driver's License Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent Project Management Certificate / Programme (beneficial) Autodesk / Revit Certification (beneficial) Knowledge Strong understanding of HVAC Systems, components and design principles Knowledge of building codes, regulations and industry standards related to HVAC design and installation (beneficial) High level of technical competency in of mechanical engineering design Skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawings Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD Proficiency in Microsoft suite like Excel and Word is compulsory
