- Create and/or update a technical repository/library for all information pertaining to plant electrical equipment and installations.
- Create a repository/library framework that is aligned with NCPs standards and systems (document control) to store and update all mechanical engineering information.
- Ensure all relevant manuals and technical specifications (in particular, materials of construction) are in place and up to date.
- Ensure all drawings (equipment engineering detail, isometric drawings, piping diagrams, structural drawings, etc.) are in place and up to date.
- Ensure that the company asset register and maintenance system are up to date.
Develop and/or update and implement a process to ensure that all mechanical installations comply to accepted industry standards.
- Review and/or set up and implement a system that outlines and guides the Organization to comply with relevant regulations and industry standards (Regulations from OHS Act, ISO standards, SANS standards, Piping codes, welding codes, etc.).
- Ensure that this system is updated on a regular basis.
Provide mechanical engineering support to the organization.
- Provide technical input to ensure that the operation is legally compliant and adheres to certification requirements.
- Evaluate and advise on proposed changes to mechanical equipment and installations.
- Assist with HAZOPs and design reviews.
- Engage with OEMs to assist with asset management and care.
- Assist with developing and proposing asset care plans (maintenance and overhauls)
- Support the operations department in investigating major failures/breakdowns.
- Perform regular plant audits to ensure set standards, processes and procedures are adhered to.

- Experience in using SharePoint and Corrective Action Systems (i.e., Digilex)
