NGO: DR-TB VALID DRIVERS LICENCE DUTIES:- Oversee, mentor, and support program and DOD staff within the district. Formulate long-term strategies for DR-TB mentoring needs within assigned facilities. Collaborate with health teams to establish clinical standards and procedures. Analyse current practices at DR-TB treating facilities, pinpointing implementation gaps and devising Quality Improvement Plans. Organise and lead training sessions on DR-TB management, ensuring alignment with current DOH DR-TB Guidelines. Champion the decentralisation of DR-TB to various sites, ensuring they are well-equipped with the necessary tools, guidelines, and training. Offer expertise on DR-TB Preventative therapy (TPT) in accordance with DOH Guidelines. Advocate for TB/HIV integration as outlined by TB and ART guidelines. Advocate and ensure Infection Control SOPs are in place at all facilities. Oversee and mentor adherence counseling and monitoring of adverse drug events for Second line TB medicines (ADSM). Collaborate on patient contact tracing, alerts for missed appointments, and implementation of EDR.Web. Assist with additional district duties, including the DS-TB program, as necessary. Engage in other project management activities in line with the evolution of the program's needs. Ensure project objectives resonate with CLIENT's strategic intentions. Ensure project deliverables meet funder expectations and requirements. Participate in DOH nerve centre meetings. Support and participate in regular data clean-up activities. Collaborate with DOH and the TB Technical Manager to conduct Clinical and Mortality Audits. Monitor availability and correct completion of DR- TB stationary. Regularly evaluate and review the progress, successes, and challenges with clients initiated on treatment, as part of Continuous Quality Improvement. Submit reports (weekly, monthly, and quarterly) on program indicators and progress. Perform quality checks on MDR-TB register/EDR web-generated data in collaboration with data clerks. Assist with Monitoring and Evaluation activities for the DR-TB Program. Meet regularly with the program advisors and supervisor for effective program implementation. Liaise with DOH district staff on procedures for diagnosis and treatment of DR-TB patients. Initiating and sustaining linkages with health facilities and relevant NGOs. Provide services to the surrounding communities. Continuous engagement with district information officers and TB Technical Managers. Attend quarterly DR-TB Technical Advisory Group Meetings. Self-updating on DOH guidelines, policies and SOPs. Capacity building through attending appropriate training programs. QUALIFICATION:- Degree or Diploma in Nursing, registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC). Basic TB Management or HIV training certificate. NIMDR-TB Training Certificate. EXPERIENCE:- Min of three years ' experience in managing TB patients in DOH facilities. Hands-on experience working with DR-TB patients. Prior work experience in the NGO environment. A valid driver's license. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. Knowledge of TB and DR-TB guidelines and policies. Strong organizational and time management skills. Cultural sensitivity and ability to work in diverse environments.
